Presented with the chance to participate in “Panggilan Pulau Puaka” compilation, an effort by the Eric Cheah of PsychicScream Entertainment, Herriot was officially brought to life with Chen, Chop Chaosblood, Ari, Joe Sarcast, Yad and Azim completing the set up. The release of “Celestial Obelisk” gave rise Melodic Death Metal within the Malaysian Metal Scene. After the released of ‘Transworld Chaos”, the band disbanded officially due to conflict of interests and priorities. Most of the ex-band members continued with The Hidden and later on some journeyed onwards with Incarnation. In 2010, Chen called up former band mates to discuss on the possibility of raising from the depth the behemoth known as Herriot once again to wreck chaos and discontentment within the local and international metal scene. Azim shifts from skinbashing to axe grinding and Fariz is recruited to take up the vacant position. With Ari, Azim and Chop on guitars, Herriot will once again delivers.Azim took on the role as main songwriter this time to give birth to some of the memorable tracks ever laid. With Chen back again to provide the lyrical assault and Lan shredding rampage, Herriot is set to rise again. Expect a revitalized Herriot and the no hold bars assaults of Malaysian MeloDeath that will left you in rage!

 

A B O U T

Herriot was formed by Chen (vocalist) with Chop chaosblood. They recruited Adlan(lead guitar), Azim (drums), Afzad (bass) and Joe Sarcast (2nd Guitar) to complete the band. In year 2000 the band released the breakthrough hugely sucessful EP Celestial Obelisk under the flagship of PsychicScream Entertainment and rip through the Malaysian Metal scene while gaining global respect.
In 2001 the band recruited Solomon (aka Ling) on keyboard and released their full length album “Transworld Chaos” and sealed their place as metal giants in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The band split up right after the released of the album.
